As soon as I saw this little byre in the woods, I knew I'd make a print of it. The rusted roof just popped against the green of the trees and grass around it. It's in a little clearing beside the footpath leading to the moors, in Blanchland, a little village in Northumberland near the County Durham border and the Derwent reservoir. We often walk on the moors there, and I always thought it would be the moorland I'd make a print of first, but I couldn't resist this scene!
This is a 5 layer reduction linocut print, with a separate block cut just for the orange roof. I printed a limited edition of just 15 prints.
They are sold unframed, but as they are A4 in size, they are easy to frame yourself in an A4 frame of your choice.
They are printed on beautifully smooth acid-free Kent 190 gsm A4 paper. Each print is named, numbered and signed by myself.
