Recently I've been incorporating wildlife into my work a lot more, and this print celebrates the red kites which live in the Derwent Valley, not far from Newcastle upon Tyne, where I live. I've been visiting this area for 20 years and almost every time I go, I see the kites above me. The birds were reintroduced to the area and are thriving. This print was made after a walk along the Red Kite Trail from the Land of Oak and Iron Heritage Visitor Centre, one winter's day in February 2024.
This is a multiblock linocut print, I used 2 blocks, one for the sky and trees and one for the birds. This is a very limited edition of just 10 prints.
They are sold unframed, but as they are A4 in size, they are easy to frame yourself in an A4 frame of your choice.
They are printed on beautifully smooth acid-free Kent 190 gsm A4 paper. Each print is named, numbered and signed by myself.
Delivery to all UK addresses is free. Prints are sold unmounted and are packaged in card-backed envelopes. Cards and prints are sent using Royal Mail, first class delivery. For packages needed urgently, or being sent abroad, please contact me directly before placing your order for postage options.
