Introduction to linocut printing, 3 x 1.5hr private workshops

3 x 1.5 hour classes

Designed for beginners, these one-to-one workshops will introduce you to the basics of linocut printing, covering useful information on tools and materials as well as techniques. It's a gentle introduction in 3 separate sessions, giving you time to process what you've learnt and think about what you'd like to do next.

You'll learn how to design your print, how to transfer your design onto the block, basic cutting techniques, inking etiquette, registration tips if necessary, and printing methods. Depending on your interests, you can also experiment with different types of ink and paper.

You’ll make more than one print, starting with a single block print and moving on to a 2-block print or maybe even a simple reduction print.

You'll be amazed at what you can create and 3 classes is usually enough to catch the printing bug and be ready to set yourself up for printing at home.
