Heron’s flight

This is the first of 3 prints I made for my Artist Residency at Gosforth Nature Reserve in 2026. It's a view over the reed beds looking towards trees, with a grey heron flying past. It's a composite view of something I saw lots of times while sitting in a bird hide, sketching. It brings back many happy memories for me of sitting, watching and drawing while the birds went on with their lives all around.

This print was made with 21 colours, the most I've ever used in a single reduction print. It took about 6 weeks to make, but I'm so pleased with the result and the muted colour palette.

The print is approximately 31x20cm in size, on A3 paper, in a limited edition of just 19. The prints are sold unframed, and are printed on beautifully smooth acid-free Kent paper. Each print is named, numbered and signed by myself.

Delivery to all UK addresses is free. Prints are sold unmounted and are sent using Royal Mail, first class delivery. For packages needed urgently, or being sent abroad, please contact me directly before placing your order for postage options.
Orders will be processed within 5 days of receipt, although I do aim to dispatch as quickly as possible.
